(I’m moving backwards through the photos with these comments.)
Oh, very cool. But in Elly’s photo, she missed a)a cab; b) a red phone booth; and c) the Queen.
I have my hand up.
Disappointed to see that the peas aren’t mushy!!
British Museum…were the columns Corinthian, Doric or the other one?
Tower Bridge. I’ve been there too!
Nice to see Elly and Imo in a photo together! Hope you had an awesome time.
So, did it feel weird being in an English-speaking country again after so long?

Hooray for mushy peas with fish+chips!

Also, @SallyLouise, that black and white car disappearing behind the bus looks like it might be a cab to me? They’re not all strictly black, though granted that’s the cliche…

I’m guessing I don’t want to know how many Pounds that pub meal cost?

So the other plate doesn’t have peas on it.
Elly do you still NOT eat peas?
Get over it…

Morning!
#Sal – not that I realised it, but Thomas is right; that’s a “black” cab in the background. (Not many of them are actually black – let alone old/vintage!) And yes, I was looking forward to the mushy peas, too!
Finally, yes! It was exceedingly weird to be in an English-speaking country again! The English accent kept making me giggle.
#Humf – not as much as we’d been led to believe, actually. First ever holiday that came in under budget!! Oh, and sure, the pub was totally aimed at tourists like us who were looking for some “great British pub food”, but it was tasty!
Proper blog coming soon!
Chars,
Stu.

Just saw Will’s comment. Hahahaha.
Yeah, what a wuss!

Thomas, you are quite right. My bad.
I am getting new glasses – the optometrist called today to say that I can pick them up tomorrow. Obviously I need them!
Does Elly not eat peas either?! That’s two spouses of Grants who don’t. Does Caleb?
17Mar 2010 at 1:10 pm :
Caleb’s allergic. Just like James.
20Mar 2010 at 2:43 am :
Nah, Caleb’s been working on his allergy. He ate a pea a day, and now has worked up to eating at least 5 with dinner. I am also allergic to peas, but only when they come from Buja and my sister shoves them up my nostril.
My hand is also up Stu – I don’t do well with those car racing games, I stick to REAL computer games like Starcraft or Total War!
I would like to add some other English cliches: d) a corgi, e)one of those guards with the silly pom-pom hats, f) one of the Bennett sisters from Pride and Prejudice…
SO nice seeing photos of you guys with Imo – I miss you all so much! Sounded like you had a lovely time, I’m glad! xox
