I am always amused when I am reminded that Stu’s middle name is Donald.

That’s Доналд to you, good sir!

Don’t worry – my middle name triggers uncontrollable laughter in a good number of people, now. I think there’s a facebook group?

I love Elly’s photo. She looks like she’s determined to look grumpy at all costs but is really rather amused.

Very exciting! It’s interesting that ‘long term’ is 12 months. For most habitation situations that would be considered short term, surely?

You describe the scene of those mugshots very aptly, Imo! My first photo was, in fact, ruined by Elly making a “your Mum is” joke at the wrong moment. On purpose!

Apparently it’s “ugly” to show your teeth in photos here! Elly’s was nearly rejected on because she showed some toothage…

I think 12 months is considered a long time for us pesky foreigners to be “allowed” to stay. You think after paying thousands of leva they’d treat you like royalty! No such luck. Royalty pond scum, perhaps.

Hi guys
well done you long term Bulgarian residents!

and as for that rude comment about your middle name….. I (we) gave it to you, after you darling grandfather, who was a very decent, respectabubble, caring, loving, generous, intelligent man!!

anyway what kind of name is “matt”? – mutt, ‘the cat sat on the matt!’ doormat!!! haha haha!

(be warned: you have met the wrath of Stu’s mother (and that’s something to be afraid of!!)

Grin, Matt is Matthew (John) Bowditch. And while you’re poking fun at shorter versions of people’s names…Stu? Sounds like stew. ‘Let’s have Stu for dinner!’

So what’s your middle name again…?

Hurah for getting your visas! That must be a load off. Hope thats the end of that side of dealing with Bulgarian officials!

Hooray for using the Humphreism, “toothage”. Oh and for the visas ;-)

It’s weird how a 30day tourist visa is free, and they barely ask any questions (I hope), and a 365.25 day visa costs thousands :-P
